Board of Trustees

Hunt Community’s Board of Trustees is a dedicated, volunteer group of community leaders, all committed to the successful operation of Hunt Community and its mission.

Deborah Riddell, CEO – non-voting member

Ms. Riddell is the Chief Executive Officer and is a non-voting member of the Board of Trustees. She is a graduate of University of Iowa with a BA in Anthropology, a Certificate in Aging Studies and has received her Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Washington University in St. Louis MO. Her experience ranges from being the Executive Director at Piper Shores in Scarborough, Maine to consulting for other CCRC’s. She has also been employed by Life Care Services of Des Moines Iowa; a large healthcare Management Company with management contracts all of the US.

Scott Cote- Chairperson        

Scott Cote of Nashua, New Hampshire is Vice President, SNHHS Construction, Engineering and Facilities Management. He was appointed to the Hunt Community Board of Trustees in 2008. Mr. Cote has served as President and Treasurer of Nashua Great American Downtown Board, member and Budget Chairman for the Nashua Police Athletic League, a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister Program and Member of the City of Nashua Board of Education. In 1997, 1999 & 2005 Scott served the City of Nashua as a member of the Nashua Board of Education.  In January of 2000, Scott was elected to the City of Nashua Board of Aldermen and re-elected in 2002.

Robert Dorf, DO

Robert G. Dorf, DO of Merrimack, New Hampshire, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Foundation Medical Partners in Nashua, New Hampshire. Dr. Dorf is serving his third term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Health Care Quality Foundation (NHCQF) having been re-elected for the 2013-2014 term of office. Dr. Dorf was first elected to the NHCQF Board of Directors in 2008 and served as Vice Chairman two years before being elected Chairman in December 2011. Dr. Dorf earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine.  He is Board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physician Executives.

Roger Houston

Mr. Houston of Nashua, New Hampshire is the Planning Director for the City of Nashua. He was appointed to the Board of the Huntington at Nashua in 2004 and in 2012 he became a member of the Board of Hunt Community. He is a member of the American Planning Association, American Institute of Planners/Certified Planners, International City Managers Association and the International Code Council.

Sy Mahfuz

Sy Mahfuz of Nashua was appointed to the Board in June, 2009. He is the Owner of Persian Rug Galleries, Inc. in Nashua. A longtime Rotarian and past president, Mahfuz has served on boards of a wide variety of local organizations such as the YMCA, Great American Downtown, Nashua Pastoral Care, The United Way of Greater Nashua, Rivier College, Nashua Symphony and a number of others. He received the American Heart Association’s Gold Heart award, in part for his close work with the Dana Farber Institute and its Jimmy Fund. He was named the 1999 National Retailer of the Year and Temple Beth Abraham’s 2010 Person of the Year.

James Petropulos, PE

James Petropulos of Hollis, NH is Partner/Principal Engineer/Vice President of Hayner/Swanson, Inc.  He joined Hunt Community Board of Trustees in June, 2010 and is also a member of the Charitable Funding Committee.  He has previously served as a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Building Committee and other local committees.

Donna Robinson

Donna Robinson of Litchfield, NH is a CPA with Melanson, Heath & Company, PC.  She joined Hunt Community Board of Trustees in June, 2010 and serves as Chairperson of its Finance and Investment Committee.  She is the Treasurer for Bridges and the NH Society of Certified Public Accountants.  She is also an adjunct professor at Southern New Hampshire University for the fraud certificate program and is an investigator for the Board of Accountancy. 

Carole Sawdon-Vice Chairperson

Carole Sawdon of Hollis NH is a retired Vice President ofLandAmerica Financial Group. She joined the Hunt Community Board of Trustees in June, 2010 and serves on its Finance and Investment Committee. She is also a Member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Outreach Program.

Brenda Smith-Weiss, Esquire

Brenda Smith-Weiss of Nashua, NH is an attorney with Smith-Weiss Shepard, P.C.  She was appointed to Hunt Board of Trustees in 2007 and serves on the Finance and Investment Committee.  She is also a past Director for the Greater Nashua Interfaith Hospitality Network Board of Directors, current Trustee and Treasurer for Hills Farms Cemetery Board of Trustees and current Clerk of the First Church of Nashua, UCC.

G. Frank Teas

G. Frank Teas is Senior Vice President of Lake Sunapee Bank & former President/CEO and a founder of The Nashua Bank. He is a native of Nashua, New Hampshire and previously served as VP/Regional Manager for Community Bank & Trust, Southern New Hampshire Bank. A graduate of Bishop Guertin High School, Mr. Teas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Mr. Teas is active in community affairs, including serving as trustee of Hunt Community of Nashua, member of the Nashua Arts Commission, board member of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Nashua Rotary Club. Previously, he has been affiliated with the Bishop Guertin High School Board of Trustees, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua, Boys and Girls Club, and the Leadership Greater Nashua program. Mr. Teas was recognized as the 2007 Business Person of the Year by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce and by both Business New Hampshire Magazine and the Union Leader as one of New Hampshire

Maryse Wirbal

Maryse Wirbal is the CEO of the Front Door Agency, Inc., a position she has held for the past 16 years. Maryse was recently recognized by The Telegraph as one of 20 emerging business leaders in Nashua community, and she received the Walter Dunfey Excellence in Management Award in 2011. Maryse is currently the President-Elect for the Rotary Club of Nashua, serves on the Hunt Community Board of Trustees; the United Way Community Needs Assessment Committee; and the Telegraph’s Extraordinary Women’s Selection Committee. She has also served as a past president for the Greater Nashua Dental Connection; a past Executive Committee Member of the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce; a past Board member for Infant Jesus School a graduate of the Leadership Greater Nashua program.
